01 / The Narrative
Barghain was a take on the iconic Berlin institution — a subtle nod to rave culture and the underground spaces that shaped it. It acted as Gemfest’s darker, heavier corner, where industrial energy and late-night atmosphere take over.
02 / The Build
We leaned into a dirtied-down, industrial aesthetic: distressed surfaces, raw steel tones, and weathered textures that feel lived-in and unapologetically rough. The structure’s form took cues from brutalist silhouettes, giving it presence and weight within the festival landscape.
03 / The Energy
Under shifting lights and haze the space transformed — smoky shadows, harsh beams and the neon glow gave Barghain a true rave sensibility, capturing the edge and intensity of the original club while grounding it firmly within Gemfest’s world.
