01 / The Narrative

Buntai approached us with a concept for a neighbourhood bodega, transforming the familiar convenience store into one of Gemfest's micro-venues. The design balanced everyday references with bold colours and playful details, creating a space that felt welcoming, recognisable and unmistakably festival.

02 / The Build

Texture became a key part of the build. We used bonding to create a stone brick finish before dirtying the walls down by hand, adding depth and character without losing the vibrant aesthetic. A 2.5-metre shop display behind the front window gave the façade another layer, hinting at the venue that lived beyond it.

03 / The Identity

Buntai has built a reputation for energetic, community-driven parties, and the venue needed to reflect that. The bodega became more than just a shopfront - it was an entrance into Buntai's world. It captured the collective's spirit while becoming another distinctive stop along the Gemfest street.
